My 1st Birthday!
Happy Birthday to me! I turned one on Saturday and had a wonderful day. Mom and Dad told me lots of stories about what they were doing a year ago and showed me lots of pictures from this last year and reminisced all day. Apparently I've really changed during the last 12 months. :-) Then my families and friends came over for a party!

Merry Christmas everyone! I had a great first Christmas. Santa came to our house in the morning and then we went to Nana and Papa G's and he had been there, too. It was a fun filled day.

Sure, there's loads of great toys around here for me to play with, but sometimes an empty box is all I need.
Holiday Cookies
The boys came over to my house and we made Christmas cookies! Well, we did more eating than decorating, truth be told. Dilma, Donna and Bertha did all the hard work and we sat back and relaxed.

Mom's birthday
Dad made this very special dinner for Mom's birthday! Apparently this all happened while I slept? I didn't realize they did anything while I slept but wait for me to wake up - I'm going to have to get to the bottom of this!
Playing with Papa G
Papa G and I hung out on the couch and played together. He showed me a cool new remote control and I had a blast changing the channels and making the sound go really loud. I kept changing the station away from the Bears game though, so the remote was hidden and we moved on to other activities!
Christmas Tree
On Sunday, Dad went to the Bears game and Mom and I went up to Nana and Papa G's to decorate their Christmas tree. It came out beautifully. I was very curious to see the tree and really wanted to touch all the hot lights (Mom let me touch the branches instead). I had a great time exploring their house and climbing up a new set of stairs!

Saturday I celebrated my first Hanukkah with my cousins at Grammy and Pop Pop's. What a fun day we all had together! Us kids got some excellent presents.

Go Bears
Here's Dad on Sunday when he got home from the Bears game. Boy was it a cold day out there! Dad said he stayed warm until the end when his hands and feet got cold; his beer froze right in the cup! Apparently I'll be going to these games with Dad someday. Hmmm. I hope he gets me one of those suits to wear.
11 months old
Well, guys, I'm 11 months old. I've really got a lot figured out and life is good. They are starting to place bets around here as to when I'm going to start walking. I think I'll keep 'em guessing a while longer!
Peek a boo
This is my new favorite game. I swear I could sit and open and close the door for hours on end. Fascinating!
Snow storm
We had a snowstorm on Friday and here we are getting ready to take a walk (thank goodness the stroller has four wheel drive). Mom was hoping for about another foot of snow; maybe next time!
Mom's helper
Today Mom and I did laundry; it is my job to guard the dryer and make sure everything gets in there OK. Mom's trying to teach me to fold clothes, but that is boring and I much more enjoy unfolding everything once it's in neat piles.

We had a houseful of visitors this week! First my new friend Guy came from NYC, then Chip and Dave came for dinner and caught me before bedtime, and finally the Kalamazoo crew came to play. I loved seeing everyone and getting all those extra hugs!!
