10 months old

So another 4 weeks have flown by and I'm 10 months old! Mom and Dad keep saying they can hardly believe it, but I'm so busy I haven't noticed. I'm crawling everywhere these days, fast, and I love to pull myself up to standing on whatever I can find. I've started figuring out the things Mom and Dad want me to stay away from and I go right to them! I like to play peek a boo and I love it when Mom and Dad crawl on the floor with me and chase me down the hall -- that gets me squealing with pleasure. Mealtimes have gotten a lot more fun now that I'm getting real food (no more pureed baby food for me!). I like roasted veggies a lot, and I really like fish and tofu and turkey and most especially fruit. I figured out to clap and that's a lot of fun, I get a really good reaction when I get clapping. I love to play with my friends. Everyone tells me I'm the observer in the group; I do like to check things out and I love the little details. And I love going for walks outside.

My first haircut!

When I got up from my morning nap today, we bundled up and got in the car. I thought it was just going to be a normal errand, but we ended up at Snippets for my first hair cut! Mom had said she wanted to wait til I was a year old, but my bangs were covering my eyes. I was very relaxed the whole time, and was quite content to eat the comb the nice hair stylist gave me. Here's my before and after photos -- what do you think?! No more little baby!
See more hairdo photos, plus Dad and I goofing off.
7th Annual Pumpkin Carving

This past Sunday we all gathered at the Ferrara's house for the annual pumpkin carving party. I sure liked all the new toys at Vincent and Leo's house and sticking my hands in the pumpkin goo. Oh, and I think my costume is very cool. The grown ups said there was lots more formula this year than beer...the group gets bigger every year. :-)
See lots more pics here. And check out
the Ferrara's site and
the Blasko's site for even more!
Nana and Papa's birthday

Last Saturday we celebrated some birthdays at Aunt Liz's house...Nana's (Oct. 20) and Papa G's (Sept. 24). It was lots of fun. Happy Birthday Nana and Papa!

The boys

Mommy's friend Angela brought Vincent and Leo over to play on Friday! Boy did we have a great time. Leo and I rolled/crawled around together for a bit, then Vincent and I sat together and read some books. Vincent kept the activities going by getting all the toys out for us to play with. Good thing he was there to organize the games!
See more of the fun (plus some older pics from a previous play date).
Cell phone

Vincent took a break from playing to take a very important call...
Little pumpkins

So this week I learned all about this holiday called Halloween. Here I am all dressed up with my buddies Danny and Tommy. We got these cute outfits from our babysitters, and before we dressed up we helped them carve pumpkins! It was fun.

chilly!

It's getting chilly out! Here I am in my first layer...they are trying to get my coat on, but we'll see about that!
9 months old

Well another month has flown by, and I'm 9 months old! (and pretty happy about it as you can see) I saw the doctor for my 9 month appointment and I'm 29.5 inches long and 19.4 lbs. So I'm slowing down in height, but putting on some pounds, which the doc said was A-OK. I love my new doctor, she made me giggle. And the nurse gave me a flu shot and I didn't even squeak!
See more pictures of me hamming it up.
Pop Pop's watch

Pop Pop had the coolest watch on and he let me play with it -- we had some giggles together because watches are very silly. :-)
Sunday brunch

Grammy and Pop Pop came over for Sunday brunch, and I provided the entertainment! I'm not quite old enough for bagels, cream cheese and lox but I did try chicken for the first time. (It was OK, but carrots are better.)
